 About the Series

Established in 2007, the Conflict & Security Research Series (CSRS) offers a wide range of research seminars and public lectures which aim at bringing together academic staff, postgraduate, and research students within the field of conflict and security studies on a regular basis. It encourages the exchange of cutting edge research between academics and postgraduates both from within UQ and from Brisbane’s wider academic community.

For the 2009 academic year, we are pleased to present a range of events that discuss wide-ranging theoretical and empirical questions arising in the fields of Peace Studies, Conflict Resolution, Strategic Studies, Critical Security Studies, Terrorism,  Ethics of War, the UN Security System, and Human and Environmental Security.

Following on from the success of the Series 2009 will see high profile public lectures and specialised workshops by leading international scholars whose research lies at the forefront of conflict and security studies.

All events are open to staff, research and postgraduate students and the wider public.

The CSRS is convened by Seb Kaempf  S.Kaempf@uq.edu.au; phone: (07) 3365 7530.
