Dr Peter Walters is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Queensland (Australia). He received his PhD from The University of Queensland in 2008. He holds a BA from the University of New South Wales and an MSc (Organisational and Social Psychology) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Research Interests:

Peter is a sociologist, currently working on level three of the Parental Leave in Australia Study, a qualitative analysis of interview data with parents on intersection of the home, the labour market and the policy environment and their effects on quality of life. His PhD thesis was concerned with the establishment of suburban communities in Master Planned Estates as well as the social well being of older Australians.
