Background:

Dr Hui Feng is a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Political Science and International Studies.He holds an MA from Peking University (China) and PhD (UQ).
Dr Fengs work focuses on the political economy of globalisation and China’s economic transition. His book on the politics of China’s entry into the WTO was published by Routledge in 2006. He has also published in prominent journals such as Political Studies and Review of the International Political Economy. His forthcoming book, Financial Reforms in China (Palgrave), examines the major events and developments in the Chinese financial sector since the Asian Financial Crisis. His current ARC project explores the institutional and political dynamics of China’s central banking reform and monetary policy, and its critical role in China’s efforts in building a modern financial infrastructure in the wake of market transition and financial integration.
